GTE is an exciting new program developed for students as a gateway into Technology and Enterprise at Swan View Senior High School. The program is a fun and exciting introduction into the engineering industry.

During Years 7 and 8 students are introduced to the tools and terminology of Engineering by the manufacture of a range of projects using different materials. Students will also design solutions to problems including Egg Crash Survival through Engineered solutions. Into Year 9 students can choose to participate in the MotorV8 program which is based around Go-Karts. Year 10 students have the opportunity to be involved in the Pedal Prix. Certificate courses are available to Upper school students.

3D printing allows rapid production and prototyping of components and is an integral part of our Engineering focus.

GTE can lead students to complete MEM20413 – Certificate II in Engineering Pathways during Years 11 and 12 and access to a range of Trades or University entry.
