A little late, but well worth celebrating — The Follow the Dream Awards morning was attended by parents, students, teachers and community members.

What a fabulous celebration of student achievement at Swan View Senior High School!

Our Year 7s were congratulated for their transition to high school with strong attendance at afternoon homework classes.
Academic achievement was high on the list as many students across year levels earned high grades throughout the year.

The Maali Baking Academy students were also rewarded for their strong commitment to learning about baking alongside learning how to use native bush foods in cooking.

Select high performing students were also rewarded for their commitment to study with the Maali Kaadadjiny Senior School Scholarship to assist with their education in Years 11 and 12.

We were also honoured to have Follow the Dream Alumnus Kyle Hill-McNally to address with his inspirational keynote speech. His journey from Year 12 to studying at the University of Western Australia was engaging for students to learn about. We were also fortunate to have Maxine Brahim as our special guest to talk about her life and learning journey

None of this great achievement would ever have been possible without the vision of Graham (Polly) Farmer. We remember him and are forever grateful for his investment in the education and future of Aboriginal students.

Thank you Polly Farmer Foundation.
Our teachers and tutors were also there to cheer us on – we appreciate their daily commitment to student education and career aspirations.
